Scholarship categories

STEM Scholarship

In support of students who are studying science, engineering, technology or math academic disciplines related to our industry and can demonstrate a strong commitment to their community through volunteerism, leadership or other community involvement.

Indigenous Legacy

In support of Indigenous students (First Nation, Métis, Inuit or Non-Status) pursuing any full-time, post-secondary program at a registered education institute.

Trades

In support of students who are enrolled in a qualifying trades program at a registered education institute. This includes, but is not limited to, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, welding, pipe fitting and camp related positions etc.

Basic scholarship criteria

Enrolled in a post-secondary institution for the upcoming academic year

 A citizen or permanent resident of Canada

 Located in a community near Oil Pipestream's operations or projects

 Would benefit from supplementary education funding

Meet some of our past recipients

 

Josh O.

Trades Scholarship Recipient ⁠— British Columbia

With his father’s influence, Josh knew early on that he wanted to pursue an education in the trades. He is already a journeyman electrician and with a Oil Pipestream Trades Scholarship he is working towards a secondary certification in instrumentation. Indigenous Legacy Scholarship Recipient — Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation, Alta.

Sonja received an Indigenous Legacy Scholarship to aid in her pursuit of an MBA and her goal to “. . . ensure our nations have the chance to become self-sufficient and self-sustaining.” As an adult, Sonja learned to overcome her dyslexia and obtained her GED, two diplomas and a bachelor’s degree. She is currently pursuing her MBA.
