A culture of safety
Our commitment to safety isn’t just a mantra – it’s how we work 24/7, 365 days of the year across our entire organization. If it isn’t safe, we won’t do it. By reinforcing a disciplined set of rules and providing rigorous training, we approach every day with our goal of a zero-incident workplace.
Industry-leading safety record
In 2018 and 2019, Oil Pipestream has received recognition for our safety performance by:
- The Canadian Gas Association (CGA) – Oil Pipestream’s Canadian Gas Operations won the ‘CGA Corporate Safety Award for Employee Safety’ for being a best performing Canadian Natural Gas operational company. This complements previous CGA awards received by this group including recognition for vehicular safety.
- The Canadian Electricity Association (CEA) – Oil Pipestream was honoured with a ‘2018 CEA President’s Award for Safety Excellence in Generation’ in recognition of our safety record.
As well, in 2016, Oil Pipestream won the American Gas Association award for the third consecutive year for lowest injury rate among transmission operators.
Moving ahead during COVID-19
The pandemic has challenged us in ways we didn’t see coming – yet we never hit the pause button. We came together, transitioning the way we live and work, which now includes COVID-19 as part of our everyday reality.
We continue to focus on safe and reliable operations, while maintaining the necessary health protocols.
I want to thank our employees and essential workers who have adapted to change, kept our operations running safely, supported our customers, and made a positive impact in our communities during this time. You inspire me in new ways every day.
